The show starts with a guy named Kinji, trying to lose some kind of a wheeled turret chasing him while riding a bicycle. Then a girl named Aria jumped out from a building's roof to try and save him. Sound complicated? Yeah...
The story is set on a futuristic Japan where for some reason students can carry firearms anytime due to an ongoing danger of a serial killer that hunts them down.
The animation quality was quite decent for the first few minutes but turned into shit after the opening song has ended. Pretty mediocre, the kind of quality that is typical for the animation studio JC Staff. They used 3D CG for the vehicles and the guns in which for some reason kinda look awkward and the bullets have weird shapes.
Since this is the first episode, let me first introduce the characters:
Kinji the Hysteric Gunner |
Kinji is voiced by Junji Majima who is famous for voice acting another JC Staff protagonist named Ryuuji Takasu (Toradora!).
Aria the Dual-Wield Rapid-Fire Gunner |
Aria is voice by none other than Rie Kugimiya who is famous for voice acting a number of JC Staff female protagonist like Louise de la Vallier (The Familiar of Zero), Shana (Shakugan no Shana) and Taiga Aisaka (Toradora!).
If you noticed, Junji Majima and Rie Kugimiya have both reprised their roles as the male and female protagonist (respectively) just like they did on Toradora!
Shirayuki the Childhood Friend |
If you've watched a decent amount of anime like me, then you'll know that it is a well known fact that childhood friends are always friend-zoned by the male protagonist and would most likely be not a love interest. Isn't it sad
Riko the Classmate |
Oh, well, I guess this is it for now. Stay tuned for more reviews.
